How MathSolver collects, uses and protects your information
2026/10/08
This Privacy Policy explains how mathsolver.tools ("MathSolver", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the website at https://mathsolver.tools (the "Service").
Who can use MathSolver
MathSolver is intended for people who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us at support@mathsolver.tools and we will delete it.
Information we collect
Problems you submit. The text you type and any photo you upload so we can solve it, together with the generated solution.
For quality review, we also keep the plan, solving mode, extracted question text, errors, usage and refund status, and any problem reports you submit. Pro uploads may include a retained copy of the submitted image or selected PDF page. These diagnostic details and original images are available only to administrators, not in shared answer pages.
Account information. If you sign in, your email address and, when you use Google sign-in, your name and profile picture from Google. We do not use passwords: you sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email.
Usage and quota data. To apply daily free limits we count how many problems are solved per day. For visitors who are not signed in we store a random browser identifier in a cookie and a one-way hash of the IP address, not the IP address itself.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the Service is used, for example which pages are visited and where people get stuck. Clarity may record anonymized interactions such as clicks and scrolling. Text you type into the problem box is masked by default.
Payments. If paid plans are offered, payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Stripe or PayPal). We receive a record of the purchase, not your full card number.
How we use information
- To solve your problems and show your solution history.
- To run your account, send sign-in codes and important service emails.
- To apply free daily limits and prevent abuse, spam and automated access.
- To measure and improve the Service.
- To comply with the law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use the problems you submit for advertising.
Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Website hosting |
| Neon | Database |
| Cloudflare | DNS, security and bot protection (Turnstile) |
| DeepSeek | AI model that generates solutions from the problem text or photo you submit |
| Resend | Sending sign-in codes and service email |
| Sign-in with Google, Google Analytics | |
| Microsoft | Clarity analytics |
| Stripe, PayPal | Payments, when offered |
Some providers process data outside the United States. Do not include personal information such as your full name, address or phone number in the problems you submit.
Cookies
We use cookies that are needed for the Service to work (your sign-in session, the guest identifier used for free limits, your light or dark theme) and analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some features, such as staying signed in, will not work without them.
How long we keep information
- Solutions are kept so you can see your history and so repeated questions can be answered instantly.
- Daily usage counters are kept for a limited time for abuse prevention and statistics.
- Account information is kept until you delete your account.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This removes your account and signs you out; solutions you created are disconnected from your account.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy, to correct it and to ask us to delete it. To make a request, email support@mathsolver.tools from the address linked to your account. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed one-time sign-in codes and access controls to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify signed-in users.
